It’s a no-brainer! Don’t feel bad about throwing this stuff out…

A recent Washington Post article, 21 things you can declutter with zero emotional energy includes the following:

  1. Expired food
  2. Branded freebies and promotional items — give away on Buy Nothing or throw out in the trash
  3. Takeout detritus (plastic utensils, takeout containers, sauce and spice packets, and paper menus) — give away on Buy Nothing or throw out in the trash
  4. Food storage containers
  5. Reusable bags #&151; donate these to food pantries
  6. Plastic dry cleaning bags and unused wire hangers — toss ’em!
  7. Clothing that is torn, stained or stretched
  8. Promotional swag
  9. Orphaned socks
  10. Paper bags
  11. Receipts and product manuals
  12. Magazines or books you’ll never reread
  13. Calendars and newspapers
  14. Junk mail
  15. Expired or barely used beauty and personal care products
  16. Hotel toiletries
  17. Dried-up markers and pens
  18. DVDs and board games you don’t use
  19. Completed coloring books, puzzles with missing pieces
  20. Decorative items
  21. Unused hobby gear

All may have potential to giving away on Buy Nothing, but definitely feel free to throw these out in the trash!
